ULAB ETE organizes seminar on “Research Methodology, Ethics & Writing Strategies”

The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering organized a seminar on “Research Methodology, Ethics & Writing Strategies” on July 17, 2016. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman Ahad, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, University of Dhaka.
In the talk Dr. Ahad initially described about what are the things that are important even before starting the research work.  Then various important aspects of research methodology was covered. Core items and ideas was explained from how to define a problem and how to conclude based on the experiments. Research ethics was described. Different challenges such as having some good results may not allow a researcher to publish in a challenging journal or conference related to the field of study were also discussed. Many young researchers can’t identify where to submit, what core issues to be addressed before submission, etc. were described by the speaker. Why selection of a related good journal or conference is important and how to select them was briefly described with proper examples. Different facets of good publication was also discussed.
Professor Dr. Rezaul Karim Mazumder, Head of the Department, ETE along with students and other faculties of ULAB were present in the seminar.

A question-answer session was held with the participation of faculties, students and guests with the speaker in a cordial atmosphere.

At the end of the seminar Dr. Rezaul Karim Mazumder extended his sincere thank and congratulation to the speaker for his excellent and scholarly presentation of the topics.
